京都芸術大学大学院 芸術研究科写真映像領域に在学中。
ストックフォトと自身で撮影した写真を素材に、アナログで一つ一つ切り貼りしながら、写真本来の文脈を解体し、すべてのイメージを等価な断片にして絵を描くようにコラージュ作品を制作している。
写真がもつリアルな質感と、切断・再構築というコラージュの手法を組み合わせることで、私たちが抱いているイメージや価値観は揺らぎ、新たな視点や意味が立ち上がる。
作品によっては立体的な構成やペインティングの要素も取り入れながら、彫刻や絵画といったジャンルの境界を曖昧にし、人種、性別、年齢、職業といった属性による分類や、それに伴う無意識の思い込み、社会的な枠組みからの解放を表現している。
Currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Kyoto University of Arts, Department of Photography and Imaging Arts.
I create collage works from stock photos and my own photographs, cutting and pasting them one by one in analog, deconstructing the original context of the photos and making all images into equivalent fragments, just like painting a picture.
By combining the realistic texture of the photographs with the collage technique of cutting and reconstructing, the images and values we hold in our minds are shaken, and new perspectives and meanings emerge.
In some of my works, I also incorporate elements of three-dimensional composition and painting, blurring the boundaries of genres such as sculpture and painting, and expressing liberation from the unconscious assumptions and social frameworks that accompany such categorizations based on race, gender, age, and occupation.
